Week 11 // The Yacht Series

Sunday 11th of June
Let’s Talk // The Yacht Series

This week? There’s not much to say.
To be honest it’s the same everyday. Some may say its ‘ground hog day’.
Up at 6:30am, Breakfast at 9am, fresh Lemonade at 11am, Beer at Midday, lunch at 1:30pm, a swim, Tea and Coffee at 5pm, canapés around 8pm, dinner at 8:30pm, turn down rooms for an hour or two, catch up on laundry, and then faceplant my bed. I’m not complaining though. Its nice to have routine, and I mean it does get mixed up now and again. This charter has gone for 14 days so far and we have 3 days left! Will be nice to have a few days to chill.
Enough about that.

What I want to talk about this week is Self-love, Embracement, Quality time. It’s really just my mind and feelings written down.

Quality Time;
I have expressed once before how important it is to take time for yourself.
To notice, realise and understand the way you’re feeling and thinking.
I’ve seen myself do it and I’ve seen people around me do it.
When we feel inundated with whatever it may be, we start to get closed off, more sensitive than usual, and sometimes a little more.. lets say; on edge.
This all stems from not taking time for you.
How important it is to have a release, a meditation.
Something that makes you feel centred and calm.
For me, its writing, being in the ocean, taking photos, adventuring, watching the sunset and rise, listening to music, reading.
When I don’t find the time to delve into these hobbies I start to feel on edge.
I can become a little more stressed. As an overthinker, I need these things. These things are my outlet.
When I don’t have them my head starts to spin 10 x more than usual.
A prime example – Last week I was stressing out about cooking tomatoes!?
This week it was poached eggs. I literally worked myself up so much, I was waking up at 3am thinking about it. I was worried I wouldn’t get it right? I had to tell myself ‘Jaci, its just an egg.’And at the end of the day, if its not right.. its still ‘just’ an egg.
This is what I mean though; when you are not able to take the time to dip your toes into whatever fuels your fire, you can start to get a little edgy.
The answer, I need to manage my time a little better to make sure I get that release.
And to anyone who may be feeling a little like this at the moment. Grab a pen and paper, write down the things you enjoy. Then go and do them. It will change your state of mind and mental well-being.

Embracement and Self-love;
Life is constantly reminding us about what we don’t have, but what about all that we do have? What makes you special? What do you have to offer the world around you? What do you enjoy? Find the things that you do love about yourself. They are enough.
Like most sensitive souls, I already know I’m sensitive. I soak up other’s moods and desires like a sponge. I absorb sensation the way a paintbrush grasps each colour it touches on a palette. The ethereal beauty of a dandelion, the shift of a season, the climax of a song, or a certain stirring scent can awaken such wonder it will become my very breath itself – moving through me as fuel does to fire and wind does to waves.
I have learnt to embrace my sensitive side and not take it as a sign of weakness but a sign of strength. Its takes a lot of strength to feel everything as deeply as I do.
I have learnt to embrace myself for all that I am. The mistakes I’ve made and the ones I will make, the accomplishments I’ve achieved, the heights I’ve climbed to be where I am, the big ears on either side of my head, the blemished skin we all suffer from, all the lumps and bumps. I am who I am. I will embrace all that I am.

This is me.
A gypsy soul;
Someone who possess a gypsy soul is a person always in need of change and or adventure. A gypsy soul seeks ‘the next best thing’ in any life situation. They can be very passionate and often inspired by different ideas, attitudes and experiences. Their sense of identity isn’t always sure what they want out of life but they are determined to find it.

I aspire to be a giver, a giver of love, a giver of good vibes and a giver of strength.

I hope from this post you are able to take even just a sentence which may improve your day to day life.

Until next Sunday,
Ciao for now
